Chris Richard, P.E., was awarded the Dudley Hixson-Bobby Price National Professional Achievement Award by the Louisiana Engineering Society. The purpose of this Award is to recognize the recipient’s accomplishments and service to the engineering profession, and to encourage and inspire others to volunteer to serve the Society and the Profession at the Chapter, State, Regional and National levels.
Mr. Richard is Chairman of the Board and Chief Engineer at Domingue, Szabo & Associates.
Lafayette’s first Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering Firm, Domingue Szabo and Associates marked 50 years of service with the presentation and installation of a surveyor’s benchmark at the Lafayette Regional Airport today. The location of the Lafayette Airport was chosen as the first commemorative benchmark location because Domingue Szabo’s original office was established in a hangar at the airport in 1957.

Domingue Szabo and Associates recently announced the appointment of George G. Glaubrecht as President.
The appointment of George G. Glaubrecht to President is a natural progression to his career and service with the firm. Glaubrecht joined the firm in 1981 and prior to that worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Glaubrecht has a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Louisiana State University, is a Licensed Civil and Environmental Engineer in Louisiana and is a Licensed Civil Engineer in Texas.

Chris Richard, P.E., a Project Manager was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Domingue, Szabo & Associates, and was also elected Treasurer of the organization.
Richard has been with DSA since 1991, working on various municipal water, wastewater and drainage projects.
He is a USL graduate and a registered Professional Civil Engineer in Louisiana and Florida and Environmental Engineer in Louisiana.
He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Engineering Foundation and is the President of the Louisiana Engineering Society.
