2022 – Chris Richard, P.E., of Domingue, Szabo & Associates Consulting Engineers was recently awarded the American Society of Civil Engineers Louisiana Section Outstanding Civil Engineer Award.  The purpose of this Award is to recognize the recipient’s accomplishments and service to ASCE, the advancement of the profession, and service to the community outside of engineering and technical accomplishments.

Mr. Richard is President at Domingue, Szabo & Associates in Lafayette, the oldest consulting engineering firm in Lafayette.  Mr. Richard’s accomplishments include design of numerous water and wastewater treatment and system design projects to provide safe clean drinking water and to improve the environment throughout the South and in Florida; leadership positions in the Louisiana Engineering Society, Louisiana Engineering Foundation, Chairman of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Licensing Board, President-Elect of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association, and mentoring for UL Lafayette Civil Engineering Capstone class.
