Lafayette’s First Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering Firm, Domingue Szabo Commemorates 50 Years of Service

Lafayette’s first Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering Firm, Domingue Szabo and Associates marked 50 years of service with the presentation and installation of a surveyor’s benchmark at the Lafayette Regional Airport today.  The location of the Lafayette Airport was chosen as the first commemorative benchmark location because Domingue Szabo’s original office was established in a hangar at the airport in 1957.

As the first civil engineering firm in Lafayette, Domingue, Szabo & Associates continues to play a pivotal role in the development of capital improvement projects for Lafayette and surrounding communities. Established in 1957, the company provides diverse services to a broad range of clients. The mission of Domingue, Szabo & Associates is to provide innovative and cost-effective engineering and land surveying services to municipal and private sector clients with the goal of improving a community’s quality of life.
